and founded in 1919, has focused on producing

Speyer, Germany. They have continually used cutting-edge technology with their specifically

Window Company, LLC® - Simply
is the North American distributor of Energate®
windows and doors. The first prototype of the H
Window® was developed by Harald Kvasnes,
inventor of the Spilka fully reversible projecting
hinge, in Aalesund, Norway, in 1959. The idea was to
have a window with a sash that would fully reverse
without projecting inside the room, allowing window
treatments to remain undisturbed, when cleaning the
In 1987 the H Window
Company in Monticello, Minnesota, was established as
a pilot program to build an aluminum/wood composite
window using Spilka hardware. In 1999 the Spilka
projecting hinge celebrated its 40th Anniversary
with over 14 million pairs of hinges on H Windows
and other windows in 12 different countries
throughout the world.
In 2001, the company was purchased by a group of
businessmen and financial consultants from the
United States together with a group of Norwegian
investors. The new company was named H Window
Company, LLC., and was relocated to Ashland,
Wisconsin in March of 2001.

Company® celebrated 15 years of operation
in the United States.
In 2010 H Window® formed a partnership
with Energate® and is looking forward to
manufacturing Energate® windows in the
United States in the near future.
